Thymomodulin is a powerful immunomodulator
A weakened immune system is an ideal situation for opportunistic infections which often take a chronic or recurrent course.

- Thymomodulin API, a totally water soluble powder for oral application.
- Thymomodulin Liquid – developed especially for application in liquid finished forms, as syrups, ointments, and gels.
- Thymus Extract – a nutraceutical grade for oral application to support an immune function.
- Thymomodulin Cosmetic Grade – for application in cosmetics and cosmeceuticals.
The Thymus glands are submitted to a special extraction process developed by our company. No alcohol or other solvents are used in the production.
Our flexible production allows us to produce a number of the customized grades of BIOFAC Thymomodulin to suit our customers´ specifications.
Storage and Stability
BIOFAC Thymomodulin should be stored in original and tightly closed containers or bottles at room temperature (not exceeding 25°C).

rade is a very hygroscopic product that easily absorbs humidity from the air. Retest date is 2 years from date of production if stored as advised above.
The shelf life for BIOFAC Thymomodulin liquid form is 1 year from date of production.

The Thymus gland
Thymus Gland is a small gland in the upper chest under the breastbone. By the age of 20 the gland begins to shrink and its activity decline throughout a life thereafter.
Functions of the Thymus Gland
The Thymus gland plays a crucial role in growth as well as in developing and improving the immune system. In the human body the thymus gland creates ‘T-4 helper white blood cells.
It also generates the ‘T-8 killer white blood cells’
Both cell types are white blood cells that protect the body by producing antibodies and locating invaders such as viruses and bacteria.
Absorption of BIOFAC Thymomodulin oral grade
Even though proteins are digested into peptides and amino acids in the gut, it is well known that significant quantities of proteins, such as gliadin from wheat, milk immunoglobulin and hemoglobin will enter the body intact. The proteins in BIOFAC Thymomodulin will enter the body via a process called a ‘pinocytosis’; this absorption takes place in the small intestine.
BIOFAC Thymomodulin Cosmetic Grade
Thymomodulin is recognized as a substance activating and re-activating the cell system and thereby promoting defense mechanism of the skin. It promotes regeneration of the fibroblasts damaged by UV-light.

Only raw materials from animals found fit for human consumption may enter our factories. Furthermore, if imported from outside the EU, raw materials from only a few countries on the so-called third countries’ list may enter the EU, in accordance with the EU regulation 206/2010
